Our Dream - A Hospice
In modern usage ‘a
Hospice’ is a nursing home for the care of the dying or the
incurabhy ill. It offers a type of care and a philosophy of care
that focuses on the Palliation of a terminally ill or seriously ill
patient’s pain and syptoms.
These symptoms can be physical,
emotional, or psychological in nature, Hospice care focuses in
bringing comfort, self respect and tranquility to people in the
final years of life.
Hospice belives that the end of life
is not a medical experience, it is a human experience that benefits
from expert medical and holistic support that hospice offers.
Hospice also provide volunteering
opportunities for thousands whose economic value in expressible and
their involvent proves the social responsibility to the society.
Our
plan - a big project
It is our dream that a 100
bed Hospice be built somewhere not far away from Kollam City.
Our
compulsion
Most of the major
Hospitals or Nursing Homes hesitate to admit a terminally ill
cancer patients for reasons of their own. So the urgency of having a
Hospice.
We offer the services of the Hospice
be of free of cost irrespective of caste, creed, religion and
financial, social status.
Resource Mobilisation
We expect to collect funds as donations from General
public, sponsorships from individual and social organizations,
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) contributions, FCRA
remittances etc.
The
cost of acquiring land, building a 100 bed Hospice and running and
operating expenses for the first 5 years is estimated to the around
Indian Rs. 45 crores.

registration under Foreign contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 on
01.11.2012 Under Section 11(1) of the Act as follows:
